Action

The deadline for sending objections to the Scottish Executive was the 12th December and an unprecedented number were sent in, at least 17,500. All the affected Councils objected and a Public Inquiry will now happen probably mid-2007.

WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO NOW?

• Prepare for the Public Inquiry. This will involve:
1. Developing our arguments
2. Employing experts and legal counsel
3. Raising a significant sum of money
• Continue to lobby our MSPs', MPs' and local Councillors.
• Much work is continuing on undergrounding and options to the 400kV overhead line.
